From Lash Fits to Lash Lifts
Back in the day, it seemed so much simpler. Then, you had mascara and an eyelash curler, which would suffice to keep your lashes curled till the night's end.
Now, there are different ways to have your lashes lifted, such as:
- Lash Lift Treatment
- Eyelash Extensions
- False Eyelashes
- Curling Your Eyelashes
What Is a Lash Lift?
A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment where a lash technician will lift your lashes to give you the appearance of fuller and thicker eyelashes.
In my opinion, lash lifts are the easiest to maintain than lash extensions and falsies. The tint comes off naturally. After a month or two, your lashes slowly stop lifting.
Reasons why people get lash lifts:
- Struggle With Using a Lash Curler
- Have Long Lashes
- Hate Wearing Mascara or Waterproof Mascara
Lash Lift and Tint
The biggest reason people get lash lifts is to emphasize their lashes. My lash artist recommends getting a lash tint because you won't have to apply mascara.
This way, you won't need to apply any mascara to your lashes for weeks, and you don't have to deal with the pain of applying mascara and taking it off every day.
Lash Lift Procedure
In the beginning, you examine the different volumes for the lash lift to see how lifted you want your lashes to be. The lash lift also depends on the length of your lashes.
The next step is to clean your eyes. At the start of your lash lift and tint treatment, a patch test will see if you have any allergic reactions.
Then, the lash technician applies a silicone rod onto your eyelids.
After that, the silicone pad secures your lashes, and the lifting lotion is applied to enable them to curl around the curling rod, after which we use a setting lotion to maintain the lash curve.
Finally, you wait about half an hour and remove the silicone pad. Then you can finally open your eyes. It takes an hour to finish the whole treatment.
How long does a lash lift last?
When you get your lash lift, you have to ensure you don't get your lashes wet for the next twenty-four hours. I find the lash lift looks the most lifted the next day.
Depending on how fast your eyelashes grow, it can take about four to six weeks before you need to go in again and get a new lash lift.
What is the price of a lash lift?
Like lash extensions, a lash lift can be more costly. The lash lift cost is between $110-$175.
Do lash lifts ruin your lashes?
The lash lift process is quite simple. However, I notice a couple of my lashes become more sparse and fallout after a while.
A lash lift can only ruin your existing lashes by developing an allergic reaction to the lash tints and the perming solution.
As well as, this is bound to happen since a lot of people have very sensitive skin. Most of the time, getting a lash lift is safe.
Are there other lash services?
There is a new popular lash lift called a keratin lash lift. A regular lash lift uses an alkaline solution to perm the lashes to get them to curl.
Additionally, it is pretty simple. Keratin lash lifts use keratin instead of the regular perm solution.
Either way, both lash lift and tint treatments get excellent results. You will see a difference in your newly lifted lashes in no time.
